History of Bortezomib
Bortezomib (Velcade, specifically is an anti cancer agent, falls under the class of drugs known as proteasome inhibitors. It acts in order to inhibit the proteasomes, cellular complexes that are involved in breaking down the proteins.

In the month of January, 2012, the Food and Drug Administration approved subcutaneous administration of Bortezomib in all approved indications.
