  Abacavir/lamivudine is an FDA-approved prescription medication widely used for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection in adults. The abacavir lamivudine combination falls under the group of medicines known as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), which help scale down the level of HIV in the blood. This medicinal product comes in tablet form and is taken once daily, with or without food. Common side effects due to abacavir/lamivudine include depression, trouble sleeping, and headache. Prior to initiating therapy with abacavir, screening for carriage of the HLA-B*5701 allele must be performed in any HIV-infected patient, irrespective of racial origin. Darunavir: Dosage and Administration

  Indication: Darunavir, co-administered with ritonavir (Darunavir/ritonavir), together with other existing antiretroviral agents, is authorized for treating human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) infection in adult and pediatric patients aged 3 years and older.  Standard Dosage in Adult Patients The darunavir tablet must be co-administered together with ritonavir to exert its therapeutic effect. Failure to correctly co-administer darunavir with ritonavir will result in plasma levels of darunavir that will be insufficient to achieve the required antiviral effect and will alter some drug interactions. Patients who have difficulty swallowing these tablets can use the 100 mg per mL darunavir oral suspension.   Tegafur, gimeracil, and oteracil combination drugs are typically supplied under the brand name Furmecil. It is used along with the medicine cisplatin to treat advanced stomach cancer or unresectable cancer (gastric cancer that is difficult to remove by surgery) in adult patients. The combination of Tegafur Gimeracil Oteracil along with medication cisplatin has been considered a first-line treatment for unresectable cancer or cancer that come back after treatment. The standard therapy of Tegafur/Gimeracil/Oteracil with cisplatin is used with the intention in order to provide palliation (care given during terminal illness) and in order to prolong survival.
