Mekinist: Precautions and Warnings
Mekinist tablets mainly contain trametinib as an active ingredient. This medication is a MEK inhibitor, which is a sort of targeted therapy called signal transduction inhibitor. It helps resist or block the growth and spread of melanoma cells.
This medicine is supplied as a form of tablet for oral administration. The recommended daily dose is trametinib 2 mg, should be consumed orally once a day until the disease progression. Consume at least 1 hour prior to or 2 hours following a meal. Do not consume a missed or forgotten dose within 12 hours of the upcoming dose.
Precautions:
- Take prescription by a healthcare practitioner before buying trametinib.

- Venous thromboembolism may occur when this drug is used together with dabrafenib.
- Hyperglycemia may occur if mekinist is used together with dabrafenib and with dabrafenib as a single agent.
- Serious skin toxicity may occur when this medicine is given as a single agent or when used together with dabrafenib.
- Uveitis and iritis may occur when this drug is used together with dabrafenib and with dabrafenib as a single agent.
